Claudia Hoppe
Claudia Hoppe is a German maker who effortlessly treads the line between design and art jewellery. With a goldsmith's expertise and a passion for sculpture, her bracelets are highly refined, dynamic and tensile objects in which no angle or surface is left to chance.
While Hoppe's designs are initially conceived using hand built paper models, the final pieces in gold and silver, sometimes with the addition of coloured spray paint, use industrial technology in combination with hand-making. Their closures are simple and elegant, and to wear one of her pieces is to embrace design excellence and comfort.
Hoppe has won numerous awards since she established her atelier in 2003. She teaches at PXL-MAD School of Arts in Hasselt, Belgium, and exhibits her work internationally.
