Refund policy
We are a small business working with artists to provide one off, handmade and limited edition works. For this reason our policies are a little more limited than the big box stores. We ask for your understanding and be assured, we'll always do our best to make your experience a happy one.
Returns & Exchanges
While we hope you love your new piece, we understand sometimes it's just not quite what you were after, so we do accept returns and exchanges on eligible domestic orders within 30 days of purchase (whether in-store or online).
A fee of 4% of the price of the item is applicable to all returns for refund. This covers the cost of transaction fees, which are not refunded to us. Returns for exchange or credit are exempt from this.
To instigate the returns process, please email us at gallery@funaki.au with your name, order number, reason for return and whether you're seeking a refund or exchange/store credit.
Special orders and resized items are not eligible for return.
International orders are final and also not eligible for return, unless the product you received was faulty (as confirmed by us).
It is up to you to check the size of items will fit you and, if needed, to contact us for further information to help you do this, before you order.
All eligible returns must be lodged at the post office within 30 days of your parcel being delivered to you (as confirmed by Australia Post tracking). It must be unworn, in pristine condition, and include the original packaging. All returning goods are closely inspected and we reserve the right to refuse a return if these conditions aren't met.
Return postage is paid by you. We do not take responsibility for items lost in the post, so we suggest you consider purchasing insurance for high value items.
Lodgement and tracking information must be provided by email to gallery@funaki.au. We will contact you once the item is received to confirm and/or discuss next steps.
Gifts
If you're buying a gift for someone and would like it gift wrapped, please add a note to your order.
For gift returns: if the item was shipped directly to the gift recipient and returned by the gift recipient (and not the purchaser), the gift recipient will receive a store credit for the value of the item. Credits are valid for 2 years. We trust they'll find something else they'll love.
If the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give later, the eligible refund/credit note will be sent to the gift giver, not the gift recipient. Refunds, once approved, can only be sent to the person who purchased the item, not the recipient of the gift.
Christmas Returns
If a gift was purchased during December, you have until January 31 to instigate a return. Please note our policy outlined above for gift returns. You don't have to return the piece by Jan 31, just email us to let us know it will be returned.
Repairs
All of the pieces we sell are one off or limited edition pieces, often using innovative or experimental techniques and materials. Also, as with anything you wear into the world, jewellery is vulnerable to accidents and wear and tear. As such, repairs may sometimes be needed.
If your piece needs some attention, please email us at gallery@funaki.au. It helps if you can provide a photo of the damage and a description of what happened, so we can help find the right solution. This usually involves having it repaired by the artist who made it. The repair process can take some considerable time - between 2-12 weeks depending on the artist, and may incur a charge. We will discuss this with you before proceeding with any work.
