Three significant works by London-based silversmith David Clarke now reside in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Victoria, thanks to a generous gift by a private collector.
The works acquired are Baroque Beauties, 2016 (pictured), a set of five candle holders, Blow spoon, 2017, one of a series of iconic Clarke objects in which an antique spoon becomes a vessel, and remaiN, 2016, a boxed knife, fork, spoon and puddle in pewter.
