"½ teaspoon, ½ tablespoon is a set of cutlery objects for which the initial idea was literally taken from the instructions in a cookbook. In cutting a set of spoons in half and soldering them onto flat pieces of shiny silver, the halves are mirrored and through their reflection become whole again. No longer functional they have become ambiguous objects that exist somewhere between sculptural and domestic." MvK
